NowHitz (nowhitz.com) handles personal information with care and processes only what it needs.

1. What we process and why

• Account and sign-in (optional): your email address and, if you sign in with Google, Kakao or Apple, the account identifier that service provides. Used only to keep you signed in and to sync saved stories.
• Saved stories and notes (optional): the stories and notes you save while signed in.
• Visit data: page views, device and browser type and approximate region, collected by Google Analytics. Used only to understand which content is read.
• Browser storage: settings such as light/dark mode and stories saved while signed out stay in your own browser.

2. Advertising

NowHitz may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings; see how Google uses cookies in advertising.

3. Services we use

• Sign-in and member data: Supabase
• Analytics: Google Analytics (opt-out add-on)
• Ads: Google AdSense
• Video: YouTube and Vimeo embeds follow those services’ policies when played.
• Hosting: Vercel

4. Retention and deletion

Account data and saved stories are kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete them; we delete them promptly on request. Analytics data is kept and removed according to Google Analytics settings.

5. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop processing it, at any time. You can also block cookies in your browser; some features may then not work.

6. Children

NowHitz is not directed at children under 14 and does not accept sign-ups from them.
