Work-system brand Gongysd published a new book on how work is structured in small companies on October 7 through Wisdomhouse. It examines why tasks and decisions in small teams keep landing back on one person.
Shared decision criteria
The book focuses less on individual skill than on how well a team shares its criteria for decisions, which it presents as the reason more apps do not reduce questions in the chat.
Drawing on Gongysd’s work with around 90 client companies, it examines repeated questions and workflows that depend on someone’s memory.
Task, owner, deadline
Its starting point is writing down a clear task, owner and deadline. When several people collaborate, one person is named the final owner, and recurring decisions are recorded so the next person can find them.
Before adding new features, the book asks whether a system can be kept up every day.
