Free Nightly Media Art on Sejong Center's Wall in Gwanghwamun, Until Nov. 30

Why NOW picked itGood for anyone passing Gwanghwamun after work who wants a no-booking night view. It only plays after dark; for a seat and a book, Seoul Outdoor Library is the better pick.

Walking past Gwanghwamun after work? Until Nov. 30, the outer wall of Sejong Center turns into a giant media-art screen every night from 7 to 11 p.m. It is free, with no booking.

A whole wall as a screen

"Dyed by Light" (물드는 빛) is the third Atelier Gwanghwa show of 2026, running Sept. 1 to Nov. 30 on the media facade of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts at 175 Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu.

It plays daily from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and admission is free.

What you will see

Han Seung-gu shows "Ilinks" and "Mirror Mask: Beyond the Boundary". Hong Na-gyeom contributes "Beneath Gwanghwamun: The Unseen Network" and "City Synapse: A Living Network of Light".

That is four works in total, starting at 7 p.m. to suit sunset.

One more on the square

Gwanghwamun Square has its own media wall on the Haechi Madang ramp (172 Sejong-daero). "Traces of the Moment" shows six works daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

So you can split it: Haechi Madang by day, Sejong Center after dark.

Before you go

It is a 2-minute walk from Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5), Exit 9.

The programme may change at the organisers' discretion. Questions: operations office, 02-6952-4907.
