Possibility Takes Time to See

Young people are often described in one word: potential. It sounds generous, but it can quickly become pressure to prove something. What have you achieved already? Where are you heading? The questions can arrive before the person has had time to become.

Potential is difficult to see when everyone is measured against the same deadline. Someone still choosing a direction may need another chance to try, and time for that effort to take shape, more than an immediate verdict.

So today, being unfinished does not have to mean being behind. Not knowing yet can simply mean the story is still open.
