Finding a neighbourhood gym that a wheelchair user can access

The SK Happiness Foundation is recruiting manual-wheelchair users for a neighborhood personal-training matching program. The foundation inspects the accessibility of gyms near participants’ homes and consults with them to find a place to receive one-on-one training.

Who can apply

The program is for manual-wheelchair users who can travel and attend sessions without a caregiver. If applications exceed places, residents of southeastern Seoul and nearby Gyeonggi areas will be selected first. Participants must visit Adaptfit Studio’s Seoul location for a physical and functional assessment.

What is covered

Participants receive up to four free physical and functional assessments, each valued at KRW 100,000. After using a gym at least ten times and submitting a review, they are reimbursed 50% of their own fees, up to KRW 300,000. Gym fees are not fully covered.

How to apply

Applications are made on the program website, which also lists selection procedures and intake status. Inquiries: SK Happiness Foundation, 070-7601-7154.
