Film still from the first De Gaulle film showing military vehicles driving through a dusty desert

The two-part De Gaulle film heads to Korean cinemas in November

Mobidays will release both parts of the war film La Bataille de Gaulle in Korean cinemas in November, the importer and distributor announced October 8. The films will open in Korea as 드골: 저항의 시작 and 드골2: 자유의 시대.

The story

Directed by Antonin Baudry, the first film follows Charles de Gaulle to London after France’s collapse in 1940. Without an army or political base, he calls for resistance and carries on the fight with those who answer.

The second film follows the campaign to retake Paris.

From Cannes to Korea

The first part, La Bataille de Gaulle: L’Âge de fer, screened out of competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Mobidays is handling the Korean import and distribution.

The distributor says both films will open in November; individual release dates and showtimes have not been announced.
