IVE Goes Hero Academy: 'Looks Can Kill' Drops Today at 6 p.m.
Six members, six colors, six hero suits. IVE's new title track 'Looks Can Kill' lands today at 6 p.m., with the full mini album following on Oct. 26.
First comeback in eight months
It is IVE's first release in about eight months, since the regular second album 'REVIVE PLUS'. The title track and its music video come out today at 6 p.m., and the whole mini album follows a week later on the 26th.
The six songs are 'Looks Can Kill', 'Mirror Mirror', 'Snakeskin', 'Crumbs', 'Girls Girls Girls' and 'Glow Motion'. Member Rei co-wrote the lyrics of the title track.
The concept: Girl Hero
The agency's concept is a Hero Academy. Each member gets a symbol color, a logo and her own hero character, and 'Hero Comics' concept photos have been rolling out since the 12th.
An earlier teaser of about one minute, 'Post Credit Scene: Girl Hero', introduced the members one by one as colorful heroes.
Heavy bass, rougher edges
The agency calls the title track a song that maxes out IVE's confidence. It pairs a heavy, rough bass with electronic sound.
That is a noticeably different direction from the polished image of the regular album.
A talk show before the album
On the 20th at 9 p.m., the talk show 'Talks Can Kill' starts on the official YouTube channel. An Yu-jin hosts, with Kim Gan-ji and Hakky Shibaseki as guests, in the style of a Q&A after a film screening.
Asked about her weak points, An Yu-jin shot back: "I don't have any. You won't be able to find one."
How to catch it tonight
The music video can be watched on the official channels from 6 p.m. Both teasers remain on Starship's official YouTube channel.
The full album arrives on the 26th. Overseas fans should check the official social accounts for release times in their time zones.
