Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour: Last Nights for Foreign Visitors, Until Oct. 24
Why NOW picked itFor visitors who want to walk Gyeongbokgung at night with a guide. Oct. 24 is the last night and each session takes only 38 people, so check seats first. A royal-style lunchbox is part of the route.
Gyeongbokgung keeps its lights on after hours, and Oct. 21 to 24 are the starlight sessions set aside for foreign visitors. Booking goes through Creatrip.
Two sessions a night: 6:20 and 7:30 p.m.
Session 1 starts at 6:20 p.m. and ends at 8:10; session 2 starts at 7:30 and ends at 9:20. Only 38 people join each session, so there are no long queues.
Check-in opens 20 minutes before start at the reservation desk in front of Gyejodang. The organiser asks you to arrive at least 10 minutes early.

A royal lunchbox sits in the middle
At Oesojubang you eat a 'Doseulk Surasang', a modern take on the 12-dish royal table served in a lidded box, and watch a gugak performance. A vegetarian version is offered.
Before and after come commentary at Gyejodang, the Sipjangsaeng chimney at Jagyeongjeon, a performance at Jibokjae and sand art at Geoncheonggung.

The finish: Chwihyanggyo bridge over Hyangwonji
The route ends at the bridge that crosses to Hyangwonjeong. This is a guided walk deep into the north of the palace, not a quick photo stop in front of Geunjeongjeon.

Getting there and what to know
It's about a 5-minute walk from Line 3 Gyeongbokgung Station Exit 5. General tickets were 60,000 won each; the price of the foreigner sessions isn't stated on the organiser's page. There are no on-site sales, so check availability on the booking page first.
If you want to see the palace by day first, buy a regular ticket at the palace box office and come back to the check-in desk in time. Inquiries: 1522-2295.
