Stargazing Until 9 p.m. on Saturday: Seoul Science Center Starlight Festival, Oct. 24-25 (Free)

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Seoul Science Center stays open until 9 p.m. and astronomers point telescopes at the sky for anyone who drops by. The two-day Starlight Festival is free.

When and where

The 2026 Starlight Festival, run by Seoul Science Center with the Nowon Astronomy & Space Science Center, takes place Oct. 24 (Sat) and 25 (Sun) at Seoul Science Center in Nowon-gu.

Saturday runs 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a night opening and stargazing; Sunday runs 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Look, listen, make

The center of it is public stargazing with experts. Around it: a relay of astronomy talks, science craft booths where you make your own starlight piece, a special exhibition and workshops by artists in residence, a mystery-planet exploration event and guided exhibition tours.

Booking only for some

Stargazing and the exhibitions need no booking. The talks, workshops and planet event take separate reservations; craft booths are booked on site. Advance bookings come with a souvenir.

If it rains, only the stargazing is cancelled; everything else goes ahead.

Getting there

It is near Hagye Station (Line 7) Exit 3; local buses 1141, 1132 and 1221 also stop nearby. Inquiries: 02-970-4581.
