NOW

If servers do not keep circling your table in Korea, nothing is wrong. In many restaurants, the call button on the table is how you signal that you are ready to order or need help.

WHEN DO YOU PRESS IT?

VISITKOREA explicitly tells diners to use the table call button when they need a server. The chime can sound surprisingly loud, but pressing it is completely normal.

THE TABLE ITSELF OFTEN DOES MORE

The same official guide points out other familiar Korean restaurant features: drawers holding spoons, chopsticks and napkins, and storage seats designed to keep belongings safer and reduce food smells on coats.
