Stone lines across the tide: 82 seconds above Jangpo-ri

An 82-second aerial clip looks down on the doksal at Jangpo-ri in Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province, traditional stone fish weirs whose low walls form distinct angles across the tidal flat.

The camera moves slowly over exposed rock, mud and low walls emerging from shallow water. The regular stone lines sit beside the softer patterns left by the water.

What You Are Seeing

The Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation identifies these as traditional fish weirs once built to catch croakers. According to the provincial government, the stone-wall method makes use of the tide. The clip does not establish whether the weirs are still worked.

Keep in Mind

Filmed in 2024, the footage is not a current tide or access report, and the visible paths are not a safe route onto the mudflat. Visits, collecting and organized activities have not been verified.
