Sung, written and composed by Shin Seung Hun · Official KBS live performance — “Invisible Love” brings together a familiar voice and the song its owner wrote. Revisit the signature song from Shin Seung Hun’s 1991 second album through his own performance on KBS’s Immortal Songs.
From singing in cafés to writing songs
Originally from Daejeon, Shin sang with an acoustic guitar in the cafés of the city’s Eunhaeng-dong before his recording debut. He later recalled that the songwriting credits on Yoo Jae-ha’s first album inspired him to start writing. Knowing who had created a song mattered to the young singer. In November 1990, he debuted with his own “미소 속에 비친 그대”; the second album containing “Invisible Love” followed in 1991.
One name behind the voice, words and melody
The singer, lyricist and composer are all Shin Seung Hun, as the licensed Bugs catalog for the 2024 remaster confirms. One reading of the song focuses on the gap between a relationship ending and the heart catching up. Attachment persists even as separation becomes real. This is an interpretation of the song, rather than a claim about the singer’s private life.
The chart history behind a familiar song
His official profile records five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on KBS’s Gayo Top 10 and fourteen on an SBS music-chart show in 1992. Those results help put the song’s place in Korean ballad history in context. The dates refer to different things: the album appeared in 1991, its chart run belongs to 1992, and the performance below was broadcast in 2011.
The musician behind the “ballad emperor” title
In a 2020 KBS interview, Shin pointed to his work in disco and mambo and said he did not intend to confine himself to ballads. He also remembered the deliberate act of listening to both sides of a cassette and rewinding it. Returning to “Invisible Love” offers a glimpse of that listening culture: making time for a song rather than letting an album pass unnoticed.
Watch the songwriter sing it himself
This is KBS’s archive of Shin’s own Immortal Songs performance, broadcast on July 30, 2011 and uploaded to YouTube on January 3, 2024. It features the original singer. On a first listen, follow the familiar melody; on a second, attend to the way the songwriter gives his own words a voice.

Cheongnyeondong in Gwangmyeong has a coworking area and lounge open without reservations. Its meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, band rooms and media and recording studio must be booked. The rooms are laid out for meetings, instrument practice, and recording and video work.
According to Gwangmyeong City, Cheongnyeondong is open to people aged 19–39 who live or are active in the city. Use is free for members.

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Future Generations Foundation outlined next year’s direction at an operators’ event at Cheongnyeondong on October 8. The plan released by the province on October 9 includes supporting more spaces, a framework for evaluating outstanding spaces and new linked programs.
The province helped establish 24 spaces between 2018 and 2026. The total of 48 operating spaces also includes facilities set up by local governments on their own.
The announcement did not say how many more spaces will be supported or who can apply for new programs and when. Recruitment for next year will be announced later. Facility-specific conditions for Cheongnyeondong are available from Gwangmyeong City and the operator at 02-2066-8134.

Sunseong Susang-gil on Andong Lake in North Gyeongsang Province is a pontoon walkway of about one kilometer that floats on the water. Along the way, a display recalls a school and village submerged by the Andong Dam.
The path rests on water rather than solid ground. As it curves along the shore, the lake underfoot and the long line of railings frame the view as much as the distant hills.
An organ, desks and information panels midway along the route commemorate Yean Elementary School and the village flooded when the dam was built. The lake now covers a place where children once went to school and families lived.
The photos are Korea Tourism Organization file images from 2021. They show the full route, the entrance, the school memorial and the view from the deck, not current water levels or autumn colors.
Entry is free from sunrise to sunset. Access may be restricted in rain or other bad weather.
The address is 14 Seonseong-gil, Dosan-myeon, Andong, and the operator directs drivers to the entrance parking lot. For same-day access, call the water-management office at +82-54-840-3832.
Sculptor Kim Inbai’s solo show A Man Asleep runs at Arario Gallery Seoul through October 24, using boxes, columns and rubbings to examine the gap between seeing and touching.
A wooden box has openings for hands and a cut-away side that reveals a black figure. Method of Modeling 2 starts from a scenario Kim imagined: sculpting by touch alone, without seeing inside. The opening lets viewers look in on that experiment.
The show takes its title from Georges Perec’s novel. Pillar of Light pairs a tapering form with a hand-smudged surface. Touching Perspective is a rubbing made by pressing paper against a relief, producing an image of distance through close contact.
Across four floors, the exhibition includes 21 sculptures, seven drawings and one audio work. It runs through October 24, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 85 Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, 180 m from Exit 3 of Anguk Station on Line 3.
