Free Self-Driving Bus Along Cheonggyecheon, Weekdays 7 to 11:50 p.m., From Cheonggye Plaza to Gwangjang Market

Why NOW picked itA handy ride back to Cheonggye Plaza after dinner at Gwangjang Market. It runs weekdays from 7 p.m. every 30 minutes, with the last bus leaving the plaza at 11.

On weekday nights, a bus with no driver's seat rolls along Cheonggyecheon between Cheonggye Plaza and Gwangjang Market, and it costs nothing for now. Night service on 'Cheonggye A01' began Oct. 22.

4.8 km from the plaza to Gwangjang Market

The bus starts at Cheonggye Plaza, passes Cheonggye 3-ga near Sewoon Sangga and ends at Cheonggye 5-ga by Gwangjang Market. It is 4.8 km round trip with 11 stops across both directions.

Two vehicles run, each seating up to 8 passengers plus one test operator.

Last bus leaves the plaza at 11 p.m.

Night service runs weekdays only, not weekends or public holidays. Buses leave every 30 minutes, 9 runs a night, and the last departure from Cheonggye Plaza is at 11 p.m.

If you were planning a Saturday-night ride, this is not it.

Free for now, but tap your transit card

The fare is free for the time being, though you still tap a transit card when you board.

If it turns into a paid service, the planned adult fare is 1,400 won. It works nicely as a ride back to the plaza after dinner at Gwangjang Market.
