Why NOW picked itGood for families who want archery or bird-watching on top of an autumn walk. The sessions are packed into Nov. 7-8 at 15 people each, so book early on Seoul's reservation site.
Namsan Park turns into an autumn playground from Nov. 1 to 30. On the weekend of Nov. 7-8 there are forest walks, bird-spotting and archery sessions all day, and a traditional archery tournament follows on Nov. 14 at Seokhojeong.
Nov. 7-8 is the main weekend
On the 7th and 8th, programmes run at once around Palgakjeong, the Korea Forest Garden, Hohyeondang and Seokhojeong. The nature-and-history tour leaves three times a day with 15 people a time, so places go fast.
Families with kids can pick the 'Birds of Namsan' walk or the seed-hunt class; adults can try weaving, knitting or the Forest Garden autumn tour.
Archery at a 145 m target range
The Seokhojeong archery experience runs morning and afternoon on both days, open to families with children aged 7 and over. On Nov. 14 about 120 adults compete in the traditional archery tournament, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Tournament applications run Nov. 2-8.
