Interim head coach Roberto Moreno named a 26-man squad for the November friendlies on Oct. 29. Son Heung-min stays on as captain, and Kim Min-jae, Hwang In-beom and Hwang Hee-chan, whose names were tied to retirement rumours, are all in.
Saudi Arabia on Nov. 13, Qatar on Nov. 17
Both games are away friendlies in Doha, Qatar. Saudi Arabia kicks off at 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 and Qatar at 11 p.m. on Nov. 17, both Korea time.
The squad meets at Incheon International Airport on Nov. 8 before flying to Doha.
Why the '96 line' was in the news
After the September-October window, reports of a rift over Son's captaincy surfaced, along with talk that Kim, Hwang In-beom and Hwang Hee-chan might leave the national team. Hwang In-beom denied it; Kim and Hwang Hee-chan had not clarified their positions.
Moreno picked all three and left the armband where it was.

Who else is in, and two first-timers
Lee Kang-in (Atletico Madrid), Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), Oh Hyeon-gyu (Besiktas), Seol Young-woo (Augsburg) and Jung Woo-young (Union Berlin) are named. Shin Min-ha of Gangwon FC and FC Seoul's Son Jeong-beom, born in 2007, are reported as first-time call-ups.
What Moreno said
He restated four team rules: respect shared space and time, solve internal issues internally, talk face to face, and put the team above any individual.
He also said he would "not take anyone's side and treat everyone fairly."
The last two games of his trial
Moreno's interim contract runs to the end of November. His future is to be decided after six matches, the four in September-October plus these two. If he stays, he leads Korea at the January 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
